Reduce – Reuse – Recycle

You can help us step up our efforts to Reduce – Reuse – Recycle when you visit in 2019.

When you visit you will be asked to commit to your children bringing their personal water bottle with them which they can refill each day.  #bringabottle

We’ve added it to your pre arrival paperwork and both centres will provide fresh water refill stations. And don’t worry about having another thing to remember – Bright & Colourful posters will help remind everybody about it.

Reducing our use of plastic is clearly an important and timely issue and we have found that by making relatively minor changes, such as replacing bread rolls for sandwich bread in the canteens, we were able to significantly reduce our plastic use. We now use compostable sandwich packaging instead of non recyclable clingfilm. We are committed to using sustainable alternatives to non-recyclables & plastic for items such as straws, plastic bottles of water, napkins, plastic knives and forks, and styrofoam cups. All of our packed lunch packaging is now either compostable or recyclable.

We know have a role to play in helping cut down on avoidable plastic waste, and with more schools across the UK joining others in initiatives at local and national level we want to help lead by example.

When you stay with us this year if you see anything we can improve, or if you have any ideas from School to help us Reduce, Reuse and Recycle even more, we are always ready to listen and learn.
