Residentials don’t always have to be outdoors and they don’t always have to be after SATs!

Woolly Hats, Autumn colours, cozy nights, splashing in puddles & the wind filled with leaves – all highlights of a stay during Autumn or Winter. Too cold to be down at the rockpools? no need to worry, we have a range of programmes to suit your objectives. There are classrooms available and plenty of indoor spaces that are perfect ‘indoor’ outdoor learning environments. Going on a residential in the winter months will give your students a passion for learning which can live on throughout the year. 72% of primary pupils said that their behaviour at school is better after a residential and 71% of secondary pupils felt more strongly motivated to learn. *

At Allnatt we have always recognised the benefits of simply being away from home and school, in a place of natural beauty, to build relationships between children, and between children and their teachers. We know the sooner a teacher gets to know their pupils, the sooner they can ‘set them up for success’. Winter residentials allow relationships between staff and students to become more trusting and respectful back in the classroom. Students get to know teachers as individuals; staff gain a better understanding of their students and how to respond to them. 79% of primary pupils said they know their teacher better as a result of their residential *

Going on an Autumn or Winter residential allows time for learning and development to be embedded back in school. The Outdoor Activities and Outdoor Learning programmes available at Allnatt help you and your students build deeper relationships which are sustained back in school. Join us on your school journey this Autumn & Winter.

Your fantastic passion for field work has always resulted in positive outcomes and life-long experiences for many of the students we have brought down to Swanage over the years. Geography would never be geography without the experiential learning that your centre provides.
